At The Be Center, our clinicians bring warmth and expertise to their practice. They are deeply skilled in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and have extensive training in the application of DBT for families. As leaders in the field, our clinician’s expertise extends to trauma therapies, including DBT-PTSD and DBT-PE, ensuring comprehensive, compassionate, and effective care. With experience across diverse treatment settings and all levels of care, including outpatient, partial hospital, residential, and inpatient settings, our clinicians have a deep understanding of the many struggles families go through and can adeptly guide families through the complexities of the mental health system. Many of our clinicians have held or currently hold appointments at prestigious institutions like McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School, contributing to cutting-edge research and clinical practice.

  • Daniel Crump, LICSW

    Business Development Director

    Founder, Therapist, Trainer

    Daniel is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a robust background in DBT and family support. He completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, and began his professional journey in addiction counseling in 2006. His passion for DBT led him to specialize in residential treatment, where he played a pivotal role in establishing one of the first DBT programs for adolescents. Daniel received intensive DBT training under the mentorship of Dr. Alan Fruzzetti, and his dedication to the field took him to New Zealand to help restructure the country's only DBT residential program. He later spent 5 years work for Mclean Hospital in the Outpatient DBT family program. He remains connected to Mclean Hospital.

    In 2020, Daniel co-founded The Be Center with a mission to support parents and families navigating mental health challenges. His comprehensive experience and commitment to empowering families make him a trusted resource in the field.

  • Luciana Payne, PhD

    Clinical Program Director

    Founder, Therapist, Trainer

    Luciana Payne, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in working with parents, couples and families. Dr. Payne has completed her graduate degree at the University of Nevada Reno and her post-doctoral training at McLean Hospital, both under the mentorship of Dr. Alan Fruzzetti. Currently an instructor at Harvard Medical School's Department of Psychiatry, she contributes to research projects developing new interventions for families affected by emotion dysregulation. Dr. Payne has worked with hundreds of families and professionals to improve the care parents receive in adolescent and young adult treatment programs. She has co-authored several publications on the adaptation of DBT for couples and families and conducts training both nationally and internationally. In 2020 she co-founded The Be Center with the aim of providing support to parents and families.

  • Rebecca LaPrade, PsyD

    Therapist

    Rebecca is a clinical psychologist extensively trained in evidence-based treatments, specializing in anxiety disorders and OCD. In addition to her expertise in DBT for parents and families, she is skilled in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, followed by a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University. Rebecca completed her post-doctoral training at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School under the mentorship of Dr. Alan Fruzzetti. Her commitment to providing compassionate and effective care enables her to support families navigating complex mental health challenges with empathy and clinical precision.

  • Amanda Parlee, PhD

    Therapist

    Amanda Parlee, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in working with families of adolescents struggling with severe emotion dysregulation. Amanda completed her graduate degree at La Salle University in Philadelphia, where her research focused on the relationship between impulsivity, emotion regulation, and disordered eating. Amanda completed her pre-doctoral internship at Aspire Health Alliance in Braintree, MA and furthered her expertise through a post-doctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the 3East Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs, where she currently serves as a staff psychologist. Her compassionate approach and specialized training enable her to provide effective support and guidance to families seeking comprehensive care.
